Restaurant Electrical — Commercial Electrical service by Dena Electronics

Commercial Electrical

Restaurant Electrical

Commercial kitchen wiring, hood interlocks and dining-room lighting.

Overview

Restaurants demand precise electrical work — from correctly sized 208V/240V circuits for ranges, ovens and dishwashers to hood-interlock wiring that shuts down cooking equipment when the exhaust fan trips. Dena Electronics wires commercial kitchens, dining rooms, patios and bar areas across BC, coordinating with plumbers, gas fitters and Ansul suppliers so your build passes health, fire and electrical inspection on the inspection process.

Benefits

  • Correctly sized circuits for every appliance nameplate
  • Ansul-integrated hood shunt-trip and interlock wiring
  • Dimmable dining and patio lighting for scene control
  • GFCI protection for wet locations and prep sinks

Our Process

  1. Equipment schedule review

We review your equipment list, nameplate loads and kitchen layout with the designer and chef.

  2. Load calc & quote

A CEC load calculation confirms service size, then we deliver an itemized proposal.

  3. Permits & rough-in

We pull the permit and rough-in kitchen, dining, bar and patio wiring around other trades.

  4. Equipment tie-ins

Appliances, hoods, walk-ins and POS gear are connected, tested and interlocked per code.

  5. Health & electrical inspection

We coordinate final inspections and deliver labelled panel schedules and project closeout documentation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you wire the Ansul hood system?

Yes — we install the shunt-trip breaker, micro switches and interlock wiring, coordinating directly with your Ansul supplier.

Can you upgrade the service to support new equipment?

Absolutely. Adding combi ovens, induction ranges or additional refrigeration often requires a service upgrade, which we handle end-to-end.

How do you handle dimming in the dining room?

We use 0–10V or DALI dimming with pre-set scenes for lunch, dinner and closing, controlled from a discreet wall station.

Can you install patio and string lighting?

Yes — with wet-location fixtures, weatherproof outlets and photocell or timer controls sized for BC weather.
